Begin by preheating your oven to 425°F (220°C). To make cleanup a breeze, line a baking tray with parchment paper.
In a spacious mixing bowl, combine the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Stir the dry spices together until well mixed.
Pour in the olive oil and lemon juice to create a flavorful spice paste. Mix thoroughly until everything is evenly incorporated.
Add the chicken drumsticks to the bowl, and toss them in the spice mixture, making sure they are generously coated on all sides. For optimal flavor, allow them to marinate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 2 hours if you have time to spare.
Arrange the marinated chicken drumsticks on the prepared baking tray, ensuring they are spaced comfortably apart for even cooking.
Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake the drumsticks for 30-35 minutes. Turn them halfway through the cooking time to promote even browning. The chicken is done when its skin is crispy and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
Once cooked, take the drumsticks out of the oven and let them rest for about 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.
Before serving, sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the drumsticks for a burst of color and freshness.
